The Green Recruitment Company are delighted to be partnered with an exciting Cleantech & Renewable Energy Start-up, who are at a pivotal time in its strategic growth. Our client innovates in grid balancing & local flexibility markets - offering a software product suite to other cleantech leaders in domestic Energy Storage, EV Charging, and smart energy systems!

Following VC backing, the start-up is looking to make its next significant step by onboarding a Market Expansion lead, who would be a vital contributor to their mission to transform energy systems to support a flexible, decentralised, and decarbonised future!

Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced professional to spearhead their Market Expansion Strategy, with a wealth of energy/flex market knowledge- ultimately playing a leading role in their ongoing success.

Above all, you will need a growth mindset, credible in the industry, and motivated to grow alongside the business!

Key Responsibilities:

• Support in drafting & executing expansion strategy

• Identifying and lead the business into new flexibility markets in the UK and globally

• Remain up-to-date in market ongoings and identifying new opportunities

• Define product requirements for specific market entries

• Create strong relationships with new & existing connections within DNOs, demand-response, and wholesale energy markets

• Act as a product/market champion both internally & externally

• Work closely with senior leadership, product, software & wider teams on deliverables

Job Requirements:

• Working experience within Flex markets.

• >3 years of experience in a commercial/strategic/project-based position surrounding energy software solutions, DSR or Flexibility services

• Motivated to take on responsibility and ownership of key expansion & growth projects

• Excels in start-up /scale-up environments
