​Electrical Engineer – Offshore Wind

The Green Recruitment Company is excited to be partnering with a leading global advisory business who builds on 90 years of experience. The business is investing significantly in renewable energy in the UK and looking for an Electrical Engineer - Offshore Wind to join their rapidly expanding UK offices. The position will play a critical role in designing, analysing, and optimising electrical power systems across a variety of power generation, transmission and distribution assets relating to offshore renewables projects.

Responsibilities:

• Review power system studies, fault analysis, and protection coordination to ensure the reliability and safety of offshore wind electrical systems.

• Provide technical support during project development, construction, commissioning, and operational phases, addressing any electrical engineering challenges that may arise.

• Stay updated with the latest advancements in offshore wind technology and incorporate innovative solutions into project designs.

• Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure effective communication and project progression.

• Contribute to risk assessments and mitigation strategies to ensure the successful execution of offshore wind projects.

• Mentor junior engineers

• Develop relationships with clients, identifying and pursuing project opportunities
  

Your Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• Proven experience in electrical engineering, specifically focused on offshore wind projects.

• Proven expertise in power system analysis, electrical equipment specification, and integration of renewable energy sources.

• Detailed knowledge of the design, specification, construction, operation and maintenance of distribution and transmission level power networks
