Job description

Supervision of 6 to 12 project managers in the process of prospecting, business development and acquisition of new projects.

The Role:

  • Manage the development of current projects (project progress, strategic decision making, preparation of risk committees); for 2024 the portfolio in the development phase is forecast at around 500MW;

  • Supervise the wind and photovoltaic project managers and accompany them on site for important meetings with stakeholders and local, departmental, regional and national elected representatives;

  • Set your teams' objectives and do everything possible to help them achieve them; set up the project tree structure, risk committee methodology, etc.

  • Coordinate inter-departmental relations in France and abroad for all matters relating to portfolio development;

The Individual:

  • Engineering degree or 5 years' higher education, ideally with a specialization in renewable energy;

  • At least 10 years experience in the development of wind and/or photovoltaic projects is essential;

  • Proof of successful experience acquired with an RE operator in the in-depth study of the technical and administrative constraints of a wind and/or photovoltaic project;

  • Know how to read, proofread, require and obtain from the engineering consultancies and their sub-contractors the correction and finalization of an environmental impact study or a preliminary agricultural study within the deadlines set, without failing to meet the quality and completeness requirements.

  • Be able to prepare, proofread, amend and approve the form and content of a regulatory file for an Environmental Authorization for a wind farm and/or a Building Permit for a photovoltaic project

  • Proven expertise in town planning regulations, legal knowledge of land ownership, a very good understanding of the regional environment and the ability to quickly analyse the potential of a plot of land in order to study the feasibility of an operation from a technical and administrative point of view;

  • Ability to lead teams, both face-to-face and remotely;

  • Ability to make strategic decisions in a high-stakes public context;

  • Languages: French native language, fluent in English is an asset.
