About the Role

TGRC is proud to represent a leading Renewable Energy Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) in their search for a Deputy Director – Policy Research. This crucial position is based in Beijing and will play a significant role in driving policy research initiatives that support the company’s innovation and strategic goals in the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

As the Deputy Director – Policy Research, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Policy Development: Lead the research and analysis of energy policies, regulations, and trends that impact the renewable energy sector, providing strategic insights to guide the company's decision-making.

• Research Leadership: Oversee a team of researchers dedicated to investigating the latest developments in renewable energy technology and policy, ensuring high-quality outputs that align with the company’s strategic objectives.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with governmental bodies, industry associations, and other stakeholders to influence and shape energy policy in favor of renewable energy advancements.

• Strategic Advisory: Provide expert advice to senior management on the implications of policy changes, emerging trends, and regulatory challenges, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of the industry.

• Innovation Support: Work closely with the R&D department to align policy research with ongoing technological developments, supporting the commercialization of new innovations.

• Thought Leadership: Represent the company at conferences, seminars, and in publications, establishing the company as a thought leader in renewable energy policy.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Extensive Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience in renewable energy R&D, with a strong focus on policy research and analysis.

• Educational Background: An advanced degree in energy policy, environmental science, or a related field from a recognized institution.

• Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of the renewable energy sector, including key trends, regulatory frameworks, and policy challenges.

• Proven Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage research teams, with a track record of influencing policy in the energy sector.

• Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.

• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required, with additional proficiency in Mandarin being highly advantageous.

Compensation

The successful candidate will receive a competitive monthly salary in the range of 90,000-100,000 CNY, reflecting their experience and expertise.
