The Opportunity
A rare opportunity to head up the UK office for an international Solar developer with multiple offices across Europe.
The Role
Incorporate and establish the local entity in a new location in France
Build up a team of up to 8 employees including the land acquisition team
Be responsible for building and managing a PV project pipeline (green-field and co-development) from the investment decision stage until ready-to-build status is reached.
Hand-over of the ready-to-build projects to the in-house EPC team.
Create and standardise a project development process map for UK and Ireland
Oversee the negotiation and execution of contracts (especially land/option lease, wayleaves for site access and grid route, grid connection agreement, land agent agreements) with respective stakeholders
Manage the due diligence process for co-development projects
Establish an on-boarding process
Ensure a company culture to create an attractive, fun to work atmosphere and a high performing team spirit
Track, document and report the regulatory changes happening in the national and regional level
Support the Head of International Development in fiscal budgetary planning
Collaborate with the support functions located in the headquarters in Poland, especially for the legal, technical, and commercial due diligence processes
The Person
Shall have at least 5 years of track record in the PV project development and/or EPC business, or similar - a necessary pre-requirement
Have team management experience and great interpersonal skills – a necessary requirement. You know, project development is all about people, people, people.
Very good knowledge of the project development processes from site identification through full permitting to securing the grid connection in France.
Very good knowledge of CRE, CPPA type of projects and related documents
Very good understanding of the key elements of the project development contracts in France, such as land lease, wayleaves, grid agreements.
