The Renewable Energy Solutions team is seeking a dedicated professional to lead the advancement of their buy-side corporate Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) solutions. This pivotal role involves overseeing the evolution and standardisation of their PPA offerings, managing, or supervising advisory mandates, ensuring the delivery of high-quality consultancy services to global clients.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities for standardisation and scalability of the existing PPA offerings and drive innovation for new PPA offerings.

  • Assure widespread adoption of PPA tools, guidance, and processes among consultants through standardisation and training initiatives.

  • Lead the development of thought leadership pieces, blogs and marketing materials related to PPA solutions.

  • Collaborate with the practice team to formulate a visionary strategy for leveraging PPA offerings in driving climate action at scale.

  • Manage or supervise large/complex PPA mandates throughout their entire project cycle ensuring timely delivery, efficiency, and highest quality: initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure. Focus markets are Europe, US, and APAC.

  • Plan and execute projects meticulously, ensuring the utmost efficiency and maintaining the highest standards of implementation.

  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with international, regional, and/or local clients, ensuring timely delivery and exceeding expectations for each mandate.

  • Provide expert guidance and technical leadership in crafting proposals related to PPAs for the corporate sector.

  • Lead the technical review of PPA proposals, ensuring precision and alignment with client objectives.

  • Generate own leads, participate in client calls, and actively contribute to the PPA business development activities such as generating speaking opportunities at conferences.

 

Your Profile:

  • Relevant work experience (min. 7 years) in power markets, renewable energy or working in industry (e.g. utility, corporate, project developer), government, research or consulting.

  • Experience in the origination and contracting of different types of PPA structures

  • Experience in leading commercial/ contracting discussions for PPAs

  • In-depth understanding on economics & valuation of renewable energy projects

  • Strong understanding of international power markets

  • Strong commercial skills and good business sense, the ability to identify and seize product opportunities in a challenging, fast-paced and competitive market environment
