Job Description:

The Green Recruitment Company are thrilled to be partnered with a leading global renewable energy consultancy, to identify a new Energy Storage Consultant, to join their dynamic expanding and rapidly expanding Energy Storage Team.

This role will focus on the delivery of energy storage projects, providing technical expertise to colleagues. As well as drive business development for energy storage related opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage energy storage related advisory projects, including technical due diligence, technology review, conceptual design, technical specifications, procurement support, EPC/O&M contract review, design review, construction progress monitoring, testing and commissioning etc.

  • Identify and drive market and sales led opportunities for energy storage.

  • Analyse new business opportunities.

  • Achieve sales as per targets agreed with Storage Team Lead.

Requirements:

  • An appropriate higher degree in a relevant engineering subject.

  • Master’s degree in a relevant subject.

  • 5+ years’ experience in the (renewable) energy sector, of which 2+ years providing consultancy services and 2+ years in the area of energy storage systems and applications.

  • Testing & Commissioning expertise.

  • Technical expertise in battery energy storage technology, electrical balance of plant design & specifications.

  • Proven ability to produce clear written reports and communicate verbally in English.

Desirable:

  • Project development or EPC experience with energy storage or renewables.

  • Knowledge of transmission & distribution networks and experience in load flow modelling.

  • Knowledge of renewables (wind, PV) technology & project development.

  • Familiarity with contracts (construction, supply, operations, interconnection, off take, and/or asset management contracts).
