Job description
Opportunity to join an Infrastructure & Renewables Investment Company in Madrid who are seeking a Construction Manager manager to lead the oversight of projects from financial close to commercial operations.
The Role:
Liaising with the EPC contractor and project advisers during the construction period and subsequent handover to the Portfolio Management Team.
Provide technical support to the Investment Team on new investment opportunities in the solar and wind sector.
Support Investment Team in the acquisition of greenfield or operational solar and wind projects;
Delivery of solar and wind projects form RTB to CoD and hand them over to Portfolio Teams;
Overall Project Management (EPC Contractor management, EPC Contract management, liaising with Legal and Technical Advisors, represent the companies before local and public authorities and deliver a complete Project Data Room and documentation to Portfolio Team);
Ensuring the quality and the compliance of the technical requirements;
The Individual:
Preferable professional experience in a development company, IPP or utility (industrial background)
Engineering background
3 to 5 years of experience
Languages – Spanish and fluent English Qualifications and Experience Requirement:
Solar Farm and/or Wind Farm design and construction experience (including grid connection, substation, HV design, security, monitoring systems, civil and mechanical);
Good understanding of the technical due diligence process complemented with experience in managing and liaising with Technical Advisors and external advisors;
Good understanding of Spanish regulations (including Planning, Low and High Voltage norms and Grid requirements);
Experience and good understanding of EPC and O&M Agreement including negotiation including the Understanding of key commercial elements of a solar and wind deal;
Experience in QA/QC (quality assurance and quality control) in Solar Farms and related equipment
Good understanding of commissioning and testing methodology;
