Job description

​Opportunity to join an Infrastructure & Renewables Investment Company in Madrid who are seeking a Construction Manager manager to lead the oversight of projects from financial close to commercial operations.

The Role:

  • Liaising with the EPC contractor and project advisers during the construction period and subsequent handover to the Portfolio Management Team.

  • Provide technical support to the Investment Team on new investment opportunities in the solar and wind sector.

  • Support Investment Team in the acquisition of greenfield or operational solar and wind projects;

  • Delivery of solar and wind projects form RTB to CoD and hand them over to Portfolio Teams;

  • Overall Project Management (EPC Contractor management, EPC Contract management, liaising with Legal and Technical Advisors, represent the companies before local and public authorities and deliver a complete Project Data Room and documentation to Portfolio Team);

  • Ensuring the quality and the compliance of the technical requirements;

The Individual:

  • Preferable professional experience in a development company, IPP or utility (industrial background)

  • Engineering background

  • 3 to 5 years of experience

  • Languages – Spanish and fluent English Qualifications and Experience Requirement:

  • Solar Farm and/or Wind Farm design and construction experience (including grid connection, substation, HV design, security, monitoring systems, civil and mechanical);

  • Good understanding of the technical due diligence process complemented with experience in managing and liaising with Technical Advisors and external advisors;

  • Good understanding of Spanish regulations (including Planning, Low and High Voltage norms and Grid requirements);

  • Experience and good understanding of EPC and O&M Agreement including negotiation including the Understanding of key commercial elements of a solar and wind deal;

  • Experience in QA/QC (quality assurance and quality control) in Solar Farms and related equipment

  • Good understanding of commissioning and testing methodology;
