Role: Commercial / Estimating Manager - Utilities/Energy to Waste/Power
Location: Berkshire
Salary: £55-60K
My client are a global player within the oil and gas market who have now expanded their business offering to support the renewable energies sector. Due to recent contract awards they are currently looking to recruit an experienced Estimating Manager

The Estimating Manager will support the Construction Director in pricing EPC tenders within the utilities, waste-to-energy and power markets, as such the ideal candidate must have an intimate knowledge of the sectors UK supply chain.

- Co-ordinate all activities relating to enquiries, ensuring a quick turnaround using all departmental resources
- Assist in preparation of scope of work and costing requirements
- Obtain internal costs for equipment and estimation of 3rd party costs; civils, ground works etc
- Liaise with 3rd party partners, sub-contractors and material providers to allow for the preparation of budgets/proposals
- Preparation of tenders and associated TC's
- Ensure all projects are completed in line with timescales/budgets
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering / technical discipline
- Min 5 years experience of estimating engineering projects from pre tender to project delivery within the Utilities, Energy to Waste or Power markets
- Experience gained in heavy engineering/consultant engineering sector
- Knowledge understanding of process flow sheets, equipment lists and plant solutions
- Strong negotiation, cost management experience
- Customer focused
