Job description

​We are seeking a skilled Commercial Lawyer to join our growing commercial team. In this role, you will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer and play a crucial part in legal operations related to commercial activities in the rapidly evolving EV industry.

Join our client, a leading Electric Vehicle (EV) specialist committed to simplifying and expanding access to EV technology.

The Commercial Lawyer will Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including but not limited to contracts with suppliers, vendors, and business partners. The successful candidate should be familiar with the commercial and regulatory aspects of the EV industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Driving site selection meetings to make key land investment decisions

  • Being a key figurehead for commercial negotiations together with driving internal stakeholders across Sales, Operations and Finance

  • Furthermore, supporting client tenders from a commercial perspective

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and finance, to provide legal support and ensure consistency in commercial practices.

  • Support the legal team with any bespoke commercial agreements where terms of business are impacted

  • In addition, a deep understanding of the legal process and client journey end-to-end

  • Lastly, support the wider business by improving the customer journey as a core priority

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in client-facing discussions and negotiations for large commercial contracts, preferably land acquisition and leases

  • Impeccable communication skills and writing skills when it comes to liaising with clients as well as communicating across multiple departments

  • Furthermore, experienced in short-term and long-term investment strategies in line with commercial deals being proposed

  • Additionally, proven experience in improving legal/financial sales cycle in terms of client experience steps

  • Lastly, a proven leader within a sales environment
