Job title: Commercial Associate

Location: Singapore (Hybrid)

The company we are working with is a leading industry player in energy market forecasts, analysis, and consultancy, and seeks a Commercial Associate to contribute to the transition toward a more sustainable world. This role involves marketing products and services within a multinational team, focusing on sales opportunities for the full product range, primarily targeting customers in South Korea.

The ideal candidate should bring a strong commercial mindset, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for new business development in the energy markets. The role offers a youthful, dynamic, and collaborative work environment with opportunities for career progression within the growing APAC commercial team, including involvement in international expansion and the development of innovative data and software-based solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, and manage sales opportunities through product knowledge and consumer needs alignment.

  • In addition, Generate leads to build an active, repeat customer base.

  • Implement plans for cross-selling and up-selling opportunities to increase account value.

  • Furthermore, represents the organization with a comprehensive understanding of its offerings.

  • In addition, present and propose the organization's offerings to existing and potential customers.

  • Negotiate and finalize structured offers using Salesforce CRM for standardized processes.

  • Provide account management for an excellent customer experience and high engagement.

Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in business development, account management, or client success.

  • In addition, robust commercial mindset with creativity and intuition for impactful opportunities.

  • Ability to remain composed under pressure and navigate uncertainty.

  • Excellent organizational skills with persistence and diligence.

  • Proactive attitude, willing to contribute across various areas, including internal systems and processes.

  • Nonetheless, driven by achieving tangible individual and team commercial targets.


  • Experience in business development, account management, or client success within the energy sector.

  • Previous involvement in selling research or subscription services.

  • Additionally, familiar with Salesforce or other CRM systems.

  • Professional exposure to energy economics, power markets, and power networks is advantageous.

  • Lastly, business-level language proficiency in Korean is a plus.
