The Opportunity 

A rare opportunity to join a well knwon Solar IPP based in London. 

The Role

  • Participating in the shaping and development of asset management strategy for the development, construction and operational assets
  • Setting up various reporting templates, processes and methods for CAM during the construction and operational phase
  • Managing the budgeting process with regular forecast updates and review- of drawdowns for the construction assets. Setting up management reporting with the relevant KPIs
  • Managing third-party asset managers and external advisors in relation to CAM activities
  • Working closely with the construction and technical asset management teams to ensure the overall performance of the assets
  • Updating of the financial models of the assets for the lenders and for internal valuation purposes
  • Supporting internal reporting, including periodic valuation of the portfolio companies, commentary on construction/operational assets in quarterly reports, inputs for business plans, etc
  • Oversight of the tax and accounting advisor; including monthly analysis of Management accounts and review of external submissions with the support of internal financial professionals (e.g. VAT, corporation tax and financial statements)
  • Ensuring optimal tax structuring and management
  • Ensuring the pre-defined capital structure is maintained. Managing debt and equity funding drawdowns and repayments
  • Support in the audit of the assets
  • Managing loan compliance and relationship with the lenders
  • Managing PPA contracts and ensuring reporting requirements are met
  • Procuring insurance policies for construction and operational assets
  • Overseeing company secretary activities of project SPVs and ensuring their compliance with statutory requirements

The Person

•Have experience in the renewable energy market, preferably in solar PV

•Have good understanding of accounting and a company’s financial accounts

•Have knowledge of typical project contractual frameworks (including SPAs, PPA, Facility Agreements, insurance, O&M and EPC contracts)

•Be comfortable with financial models and can adapt to existing models

•Have an ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines on multiple projects simultaneously
