Job description

​Great opportunity to join a major global IPP and lead their established Romanian renewable team.

The Role:

  • You will develop, execute and monitor the Company’s business strategies with regards to Wind and Solar projects to attain the strategic and financial targets of the Company, the Board and shareholders

  • You will establish budgets (on a Company as well as on a departmental level) and manage these accordingly for the Company as well as for individual projects

  • You will seek for and originate new opportunities on Wind and Solar projects and provide strategic advice and decision memos to the Group on market developments

  • You will actively manage risk and identify and quantify mitigation measures to ensure business continuity and growth of the Company

  • You will prepare and implement comprehensive business plans and oversee the Company’s financial performance, investments, and other business ventures

  • You will direct and supervise the recruitment of staff and be responsible for the effective staffing and team structuring to fulfil the Company’s contractual obligations

  • You will communicate and maintain trustful relationships with shareholders, business partners and authorities as well as representing the Group within Romania (e.g. on exhibitions, trade fairs, industry trade organizations, etc.)

  • You will provide guidance for the team as required and plan, approve, and oversee people development and training measures to grow the whole local team

  • You will ensure that company processes, policies and legal guidelines are implemented and communicated to all team members and followed at all times


  • University degree, preferably in a technical, economic, or environmental discipline

  • Outstanding knowledge of the Romanian Wind and PV markets

  • Thorough knowledge of general renewable energy market players, trends, challenges, and opportunities

  • Strong understanding of project development and management in the Solar and Wind business as well as of financial performance metrics

  • Demonstrable experience in developing strategic and detailed financial business plans

  • Extensive and excellent experience in leadership and people management, being a natural coach and inspiring example to improve the strengths and motivation of team members at different levels

  • High flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions, ability to respond to disruptive environments, seeing disruptive events as an opportunity rather than a threat to re-create the business

  • Strong project management and execution capabilities, results-oriented, ability to take initiative, be self-starting and make rational decisions, even when under pressure

  • Fluency in English and Romanian is mandatory (both spoken and written)
