Chief Operating Officer

Location: Chicago (Hybrid)

TGRC is working with a rapidly growing, vertically integrated solar and renewable energy project developer, installer, and owner-operator. The company has an industry-leading 1.5-gigawatt pipeline of actionable projects nationwide, including over 300 megawatts in Illinois where it was awarded the largest allocation of any developer. The company has a financing agreement with Euclid Capital, a private equity investor based in Toronto, Canada. Euclid Capital became a large minority shareholder of the company, with a further $50 million commitment of project-level equity capital to fully fund their near-term pipeline.

As the Chief Operating Officer, you will further optimize the operations functions of the business, including project design, procurement of equipment, construction management, operations, and ongoing asset management. The COO will become another highly functional leader within the company, with regular interaction across the Board of Directors and the entire executive team.

Your Profile:

  • Proven and successful operations executive (i.e. over 15 to 20 years of professional experience) with current/prior COO management responsibility

  • Expertise in supporting project finance processes, including preparing top quality due diligence packages to expedite debt and equity financings and other capital strategies.

  • Strong commercial expertise with a demonstrated understanding of business drivers and a track record of serving as a key business partner to the leadership team.

  • Current/prior experience managing a private equity-sponsored portfolio company, especially with a successful exit (i.e. IPO or transaction), is highly desirable.

  • Experience creating and managing operating metrics for management and other stakeholders, including lenders, private equity sponsors, and regulatory agencies.

  • Prior experience structuring and negotiating equipment purchase agreements, construction contracts with subcontractors and partnering with lenders.
