Job description
TGRC partnered with one of the largest renewable energy Independent Power Producers globally, headquartered in Europe, in search of a CFO for their rapidly expanding team in Japan.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes, including investment opportunities, cost-reduction initiatives, and revenue growth strategies.
Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators, providing regular reports to senior management
Oversee the preparation and timely delivery of accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and taxation requirements.
Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and reviews.
Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, including market risks, credit risks, and operational risks.
Develop and implement robust internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and maintain financial integrity.
Manage capital allocation strategies, including debt and equity financing, to optimize the company's capital structure and liquidity position.
Evaluate investment opportunities and capital projects, conducting thorough financial analysis and risk assessments.
Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, providing strategic financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and expansion.
Collaborate with other functional leaders to drive cross-functional initiatives and achieve organizational objectives.
Expectations:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation preferred.
Proven track record of at least 15+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with a minimum of 8 years in a senior leadership position.
Extensive knowledge of financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Strategic mindset, with the ability to think critically and provide strategic financial guidance to senior management.
Fluency in English and French languages preferred.
