Job description

​The Green Recruitment Company have been exclusively engaged by a UK leading developer, owner, operator of Bioenergy & AD Assets in the UK – to support in their continued growth across the UK.

In addition to their existing portfolio, the business has an affluent project pipeline to develop & construct 15 further plants, 6 of which are currently under construction. Each project valuing circa £25m. The Team comprises of a high pedigree of renewable energy & bioenergy professionals, however in keeping with their ambitions seek an astute & experienced Process Engineer to further support in their growth.

As a Process Engineer within their Energy Conversion team, you'll play a vital role in developing and optimising innovative systems and technologies for producing renewable biogas and biomethane. You'll leverage your deep understanding of processes and systems to:

  • Utilise advanced process simulations, comprehensive feasibility studies, and in-depth technical assessments to pinpoint areas for improved efficiency and reduced energy consumption.

  • Leverage your deep understanding of gasification, pyrolysis, combustion, and other advanced energy conversion technologies to drive innovative solutions, optimise processes, and unlock sustainable energy opportunities.

  • Spearhead and engage in on-site evaluations, data gathering, and analysis to pinpoint operational hurdles and craft impactful solutions.

You will have worked within multi-disciplinary teams, coordinating, and supporting staff. Knowledge of the design and build of above and below-ground assets within the gas sector is essential. You will be proactive and happy to take ownership of tasks and contribute to the growth of our business. They seek enthusiastic problem solvers who enjoy working in a developing business. As they move to a more flexible working arrangement, they require their staff to be similarly adaptable, agile, and flexible in their approach to working.

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a relevant field (Bachelor's or Master's).

  • Track record of successfully designing & optimising energy conversion processes.

  • Strong command of engineering tools for thermodynamic analysis, flowsheet modelling, & equipment sizing (e.g. Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
