​Job title: Battery Storage Systems Engineer

TGRC is excited to be partnering with a multinational battery manufacturer to appoint a remote Battery Storage Systems Engineer. This client designs, develops, produces and services batteries in 19 countries with a team of 4000 people. They are committed to energy that is affordable, clean, reliable, and accessible. The Battery Storage Systems Engineer will be responsible for the electrical systems design of battery storage systems in line with technical requirements and cost constraints in the US market.

Responsibilities:

• Conforming designs to product requirements.

• Supporting the specification of sub-systems and the verification cross matrix.

• Developing high-level design specs, block diagrams, system interfaces, and compliance matrices.

• Implementing product integration tests.

• Validating product test procedures and approving results.

• Establishing system-level technical specifications in line with customer requirements, safety aspects and US regulations.

• Establishing electrical subsystems according to product requirements.

• Supporting the sales team during the pre-project phase by contributing to technical proposals.

• Coordinating technical activities when multidisciplinary teams are involved.

• Liaising with the purchasing, customer engineering, quality and project management teams.

• Negotiating with clients on product interface requirements and associated validation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a relevant function.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Grid Codes.
