​The Opportunity:

An independent global developer of utility scale solar (photovoltaic) projects with a recognised track record is seeking a Battery Storage Analyst for its office in Madrid.

The Role:

• Be responsible for assisting the project development teams in Europe.

• Responsible for our in-depth market analysis driving future business pipelines

• Lead and support solar technical due diligence assessments for investors

• Review commercial and utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) solar projects as part of project acquisitions at different stages including feasibility, development, operation, and sale

• Research and shortlist new PV equipment and BESS technologies that will increase value to our clients

• Create modelling software for bankable energy yield production estimates

• Create software tools to optimize solar and storage designs for energy yield and project value with respect to levelised cost of energy

• Use internal tools and industry standards to optimize project designs for constraints such as scope, schedule, budget and geography;

• Support business development activities to secure new engagements and develop client relationships

• Streamline technical inputs to bid operations

• Stay up to date with European research and technical development
  

The Individual:

• Degree in Engineering, Environmental Studies or similar

• 3-5 years’ experience in the energy

• Insightful knowledge of solar & battery equipment

• Understanding of battery energy storage and solar projects

• Fluency in English & Spanish verbal and written

• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office products
