​TGRC is working with a client undergoing a growth phase, they are seeking a Battery Commissioning Engineer, equipped with in-depth technical knowledge of electrical engineering, with a focus on the delivery, commissioning, & maintenance of BESS systems.

The Green Recruitment Company are delighted to be working with a leading energy technology provider, who are currently expanding its technical team to support the deployment & development of BESS infrastructure in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the commissioning process for Battery Energy Storage System projects from initiation through completion.

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful commissioning within project timelines.

  • Coordination with external stakeholders & project teams around SCADA/BMS/EMS systems & equipment vendors

  • Implement quality assurance measures to ensure that BESS infrastructure meets industry standards and specifications.

  • Develop and execute commissioning plans to validate the reliability and functionality of energy storage systems.

  • Furthermore, manage technical schedules including EPC or other subcontractor contracts.

  • Conduct thorough testing of BESS components and systems to ensure optimal performance.

  • Identify and address any issues during the commissioning phase, working closely with the engineering and operations teams.

  • In addition, establish testing methods for sites & systems.

  • Lastly, collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of BESS projects.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in commissioning Battery Energy Storage System projects.

  • Strong understanding of energy storage technologies and systems.

  • Technical proficiency in testing equipment and troubleshooting methodologies.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
