Job description
I'm partnered with a leader in the storage industry who is looking to expand their legal team by adding an Assistant General Counsel to their already substantial team!
Backed by one of the biggest names in renewables, this is a great opportunity for someone in California (or someone looking to relocate!) who is experienced in both M&A transactions within the renewables market, but also EPC and procurement as well.
Responsibilities:
Providing complex legal guidance and advice to the company
Lead projects of significant importance to the company from a legal, risk, value, and/or policy perspective
Resolve legal matters, including various renewable projects and transactions
Partner with the EPC team on strategic procurement initiatives, including but not limited to framework agreement negotiations
Oversee the drafting of legal documents, such as contracts, corporate governance documents or other legal documents
Furthermore, lead negotiations
Lastly, manage outside counsel to maximize efficiency, including managing litigation matters through external counsel
Your Profile:
Experience in Renewables required
JD from accredited law school
Minimum 10 years of experience practicing law
Licensed to practice law in California, NY or TX, or licensed to practice in any US state
Moreover, proven effective negotiation skills
Lastly, strong verbal and written communication skills
