THE OPPORTUNITY:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-qualified Accounts Assistant to join a Renewables Developer in Berlin, Germany. Due to the company's ambitious growth strategy, a competent and resourceful Accounts Assistant is being sought with the opportunity to lead on AR/AP, reconciliations and VAT on various European Development projects.

THE ROLE:

Assisting in the preparation of management accounts, arranging transaction and balance sheet reconciliations
Leading the accounts payable process
Preparation of payment runs and bank reconciliations
Processing and filing purchase invoices
Raising sales invoices
Liaising with suppliers and customers on reconciliations and queries
Maintaining and updating investor schedules
Production of dividend and loan certificates
Processing and checking expense claims and credit card statements
Assisting in preparation of VAT returns
Responsible for banking liaison - i.e. coordinating mandates for opening accounts, adding signatories, managing bank summary reports, and other applications
Due to the small nature of the company there will be a number of ad hoc duties that will assist the accounting team and investment managers

THE INDIVIDUAL:

Must be ACA, ACCA, or CIMA part-qualified or QBE
Well-presented individual with outgoing personality
Proficient knowledge of Excel and MS Office
Accounting package experience
High level of numeracy
Keen attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
Ability to take responsibility and work with limited supervision
Strong communication and personal skills
Experience within the Renewable Energy/Infrastructure Sector is highly preferred but not essential
