Location: Cornwall, UK
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Day Rate: £450

Role Overview: The WTG Technician will play a critical role in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing wind turbine generators (WTGs). The position demands a high level of precision and adherence to safety and environmental standards, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the wind farm.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on WTGs.

  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

  • Documenting and maintaining accurate records of technical data and operations.

  • Ensuring compliance with all safety guidelines and environmental policies.

  • Collaborating with the site team to maximize turbine efficiency and reliability.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record as a WTG Technician or in a comparable role within the wind energy industry.

  • Technical certification or degree in a relevant engineering field.

  • Comprehensive understanding of the mechanics, electronics, and hydraulics of wind turbines.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to operate under challenging conditions.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effective teamwork.
