​The Green Recruitment Company are working alongside a leading global bank who have one of the largest customer bases in Japan, and an extensive international network covering financial and business centres around the world.

The Role:

The primary focus is, together with the Director, Structured Trade Solutions, to develop the global marketing and origination of new business opportunities in structured trade and working capital solutions across the European client universe within the oil & gas, utilities, and mining & commodities sectors. The sector expert role sits within the industry coverage team alongside the global relationship bankers and requires working in tandem with the Global Transaction Banking (GTB) and Structured Finance (SFD) teams to originate and structure executable solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Support the management and development of existing and prospective relationships with trading and relevant structured finance teams across the European portfolio to originate transactions globally.

• Set the structured trade and working capital strategy for the portfolio to maximise income generation, cross sell opportunities, optimise exposure, and return on risk capital.

• Work closely with the sector heads on ESG related issues and product development.

• Take responsibility for credit exposure and risk management of structured trade and working capital transactions in the portfolio.

• Manage legal and credit related client requests / proposals through the credit approval process. Support the preparation of analysis and business rationale that supports requests.

Your Profile:

• Demonstrable experience around commodity structured trade finance and working capital themes including prepayment, PXFs, inventory finance and receivables structures.

• Demonstrable experience in originating transactions

• Collaborator and team player with excellent communication skills. Able to cut through multilayered problems and communicate the key issues in a clear and effective manner.

• Strong commodity risk management skill set, understanding where the risks lie in structured trade transactions.

• Strong general corporate banking and risk management skill set. Experience in monitoring and managing risk exposures, ideally with focus on structured trade and working capital structures.
