Job description
The Role:
Our client, a leading global renewables focused Investment Manager, is seeking a Valuations Analyst. The Valuations Team is responsible for the provision of valuations of all infrastructure assets under the firm's management, covering a range of sectors including solar, wind, energy storage, reserve power, forestry, hydrogen, bioenergy assets and core infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Specific Valuations Analyst responsibilities include:
Quarterly update of project and fund models, and production of discounted cashflow valuations and IRRs
Perform modelling input assumption reviews and present recommendations for changes
Support the creation of valuation reporting packs
Undertake research in respect of political and economic factors affecting the portfolio
Assist with investor, debt and regulatory reporting requirements
Support the external audit of individual funds and liaison with independent valuation advisors
Work with the asset management team to identify and model value enhancement opportunities
The candidate will be encouraged to complete the CFA Program.
Essential:
University graduate with a minimum 2:1 degree from a top university
1-2 years post university experience in a relevant role preferably in the renewables sector
Strong financial modelling experience sufficient to understand, review, evaluate and manage financial models
Direct experience performing and/or reviewing valuations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
Strong team player who collaborates across teams
Excellent organisational and problem solving skills, and ability to meet regular deadlines
Report writing skills and ability to produce concise and clear documents
Strong attention to detail and quality
Able to demonstrate initiative and judgement in carrying out day-to-day role
