The Client: 

One of the UK’s leading developers and service providers in the Electric Vehicle rapid charging space, is looking to bolster its dynamic team with the appointment of a Technical Strategy Manager. The Role: 

Key responsibilities will include: 

• Provide leadership on EV Charging Technical Strategy
• Understanding of data revenue streams, V2G, G2V 
• Understanding of distributed payment systems and further transport technical developments
• Advising on procurement charge point technology  
• Acting as a consultant in regards to incorporation of back-end systems, payment devices, customer records, data reports, etc; 
• Steering the direction of company app 
• Selection of suppliers and subcontractors 
• Understanding commercial priorities and helping build overall company strategy 

The Individual: 

The individual will need: 

• Experience with software in cleantech
• Knowledge of EV charge points and back-office systems 
• Knowledge of the differences between EV charging products 
• Ideally prior experience in CTO or CIO position
• Have a strong overview understanding of software/data systems involved and which players are in the field 
• Understanding of cloud computing systems 
• Ability to act in an advisory manner and contribute to strategy 
• Strong communication skills
