Technical Project Manager
Location: Paris, France
The Green Recruitment company are working with a leading, global developer and operator of offshore wind farms. They are particularly focusing on floating offshore wind currently. There is a huge amount of growth within the business currently and they are therefore looking for a Technical Project Manager.
The Technical Project Manager will take an active leadership role in the development of new opportunities in France and abroad, with a focus on Floating wind technologies. They will lead a multidisciplinary Team of skilled engineers dealing with Site conditions and Lay-out design. They will provide technical support to the Development Team and work in close cooperation with the Wind Farm Design team.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Being the first point of contact within offshore wind on all related questions and support for technical expertise in Site conditions and Lay-out design
- Coordinating a team of technical analysts
- Supporting technical due diligence processes related to M&A and/or early market assessments
- Representing the company in offshore wind technology research discussions
- To a large extent, carry out tasks as described above in project-specific roles as part of group-wide project organizations and in such role reports to applicable work package / workstream / project manager of the respective project(s)
- Understanding commercial impact and contribute to LCOE tool developments in area of expertise.
- Evaluating design concepts, technical solutions, inherent risks (in terms of wind yield, energy yield, modelling, uncertainty analysis) and review of third party reports.
- Developing and optimizing on wind farm layout designs with focus on LCOE and maximization of yield, considering energy production, bottom-surface connections, anchoring, electrical network, etc.
- Critical analyses of site data (wind; metocean; soil; etc..) to highlight uncertainties for AEP and loads calculations.
Your Profile:
- Master’s degree in Coastal and Marine Engineering; Marine Engineering Science; Renewable Energy; Meteorology; Physics or another quantitative field.
- Knowledge of materials and offshore wind norms and standards.
- Substantial experience (min. 5 years) and expertise in offshore wind resource assessment, wind modelling, energy yield calculation, layout optimization and wind turbine technology required;
- Comprehensive knowledge in relevant aspects of wind farm development, engineering, construction and operation of wind farm projects;
- Fluent in English and French
- Happy to be based in either Paris or Nantes
