Role Summary

You will be part of the Solar team currently focused on developing large scale ground mounted solar PV projects in The Netherlands and expansion of its activities to other European countries. With your solar industry experience, you are expected to play a pivotal role in making the business a successful player in the solar PV business. In this role you will be part of a growing team with increasing responsibility and scope. The role is based in Amsterdam. You will work closely together with the project developers in the team where your main role will be to assist them in making each project feasible and optimising it from a technical point of view.

In detail the following tasks will be part of your job profile:

Responsibilites 

  • Performaing Site Studies
  • Preparation of preliminary layout of solar PV plants 
  • Balance the commercial versus technical optimisation of such layouts 
  • Performing grid (capacity and route) assessments 
  • Calculating the expected capacity and yield of solar PV plants 
  • Developing novel technical solutions to accommodate various forms of dual-use of the site.
  • Represent business when facing local authorities and locals when discussing permit requests 
  • Preparing scope of works and other documentation required for EPC tenders 
  • Closely monitor technical and commercial developments with respect to solar EPC activities 

     

Your profile: 

  • University degree in business, engineering or equivalent 
  • 5-10 years of experience with and knowledge of solar PV as a technology 
  • Broad network with developers, EPC companies and technical advisors 
  • Solution focused; able to translate technical challenges into commercially viable solutions Self-directed individual who will meet deadlines and deliver quality results without continual monitoring/supervision 
  • Fluent in English and preferably Dutch 
  • Prepared to travel
