Overview:

The Green Recruitment Company are working with a with a well-funded start-up that are focused on helping their clients move the needle on the sustainability of their operations through the practical application of Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Sequestration at scale. Often combining academia, with pilot projects and established industry practices, we find a way through where most only see problems. The role will own the operationalisation roadmap for project delivery, ensuring that these meet client requirements and achieve overall outcomes. The successful candidate will run the project management team responsible for the delivery of individual projects and liaise with the R&D team to ensure that early-stage technology is properly transferred into operational success. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own, update and develop the climate net-negative operationalisation delivery roadmap 
  • Ensure that client requirements are translated into deliverable workplans 
  • Identify the required resources to ensure success, secure them and track overall progress 
  • Own overall programme reporting to senior leadership team, clients and our investors on programme performance and summary level information from each project 
  • Manage and communicate programme risks through a valid approach ensuring risks are identified and managed appropriately
  • Develop an understanding of the key technologies and development areas the company are focusing on 
  • Be able to represent the company and share the progress of our overall programme of work including summary technological aspects as well as how they lead to a CO₂ negative-emission world 
  • Maintain a personal development program to continually enhance your own competencies
  • Ensure that projects within the programme are adequately managed and supported 
  • Hire, organise and develop the project management team 
  • Ensure that projects are adequately managed against, time, cost and quality while also achieving their ‘maximum good’ performance objectives 
  • Step in where required to ensure that projects are delivered

 

Qualifications:

  • A graduate with sufficient industry experience in a relevant engineering or biochemistry field 
  • Experience in multiple-project or programme management including all aspects of roadmap development, reporting and partnership engagement 
  • Experience building, developing, and managing a team of 5+ direct reports 
  • Ability to understand and engage with research & development findings and support the development of these into deliverable projects 
  • Experience with vertical farms or CCUS technologies a plus
