The Green Recruitment Company are working with a Global consultancy to recruit a new Sustainability Consultant into their Net Zero Consulting team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating sustainability strategy solutions for clients across a variety of sectors, and will be a vital part of this growing team.
Deliver strategy, analytical and operational services across the energy and climate dimensions of sustainability within the team.
Work with UK, European and global clients on diverse projects that include: Net-Zero strategy development, science-based target setting, GHG assessment across all scopes, policy analysis, quantitative analytical and modelling work, voluntary carbon offset market assessment, and general sustainability systems-thinking.
Be involved in the strategic development of the sustainability area of the business working in conjunction with other parts of the business – nationally and internationally
Building and managing a pipeline of projects, including involvement on proposal submission and client / prospect engagement
Coordinating project delivery and liaising at senior level with other parts of the business
Giving high-value steering and input, as required, to the analytical, technical, policy, and product development aspects of project work.
Proven record of working within teams in delivering large and challenging projects
Deep knowledge of energy, climate and sustainability from a commercial, practitioner, and academic perspective.
Ability to provide significant input on the design, development and delivery of products and services within the sustainability consulting team.
Experience of client delivery on main reporting frameworks, standards and initiatives e.g. CDP, SBTi, GHG Protocol, TCFD, GRI, plus latest ESG reporting developments.
Minimum 3 years of professional sustainability-related experience.
Relevant bachelor’s degree or higher education level.
Relevant professional membership/qualification a plus.
Genuine and deep passion for sustainability, and a desire to make meaningful change.
