​We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Substation Draftsman with a specialization in high-voltage projects. This role is based in Spain and involves the creation of detailed drawings and plans for high-voltage substations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design and documentation phase of complex substation projects.

Responsibilities:

• Create detailed and accurate drawings for high-voltage substations, including layout plans, elevations, schematics, and equipment details.

• Work closely with engineering teams to interpret design concepts, technical specifications, and project requirements for incorporation into drawings.

• Conduct thorough reviews of drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

• Generate and maintain project documentation, including drawing logs, revision history, and as-built drawings.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to address design issues and ensure timely delivery of accurate drawings.

• Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and changes in regulations related to high-voltage substation design.

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a draftsman, with a focus on high-voltage substation projects.

• Advanced skills in AutoCAD or other relevant CAD software for substation design.

• Familiarity with high voltage substation components, equipment, and layout requirements.

• Proficiency in Spanish; knowledge of English is a plus.

• Understanding of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations governing substation design.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings.

• Ability to effectively communicate with multidisciplinary teams and translate engineering concepts into visual representations.

• Lastly, proven ability to identify and resolve design issues during the drafting phase.
