Job description

This is a great opportunity to work for a leading player in the renewable market and execute numerous energy projects internationally across many industries including off grid and on grid solar solutions, wind, gas and storage. 

 

The Role

You will be working in the Sourcing & Validation team to manage and lead the connections process and other key early stage project development tasks such as landowner engagement, DNO/GNO liaison, and early project design.

  • Maintaining project pipeline tracker
  • Managing grid and gas applications with ICP, UIP, IDNO and DNOs
  • ICP and UIP Management – Quotations, securing loads  
  • Liaising directly with DNO and GNO system planners on existing applications
  • Sourcing grid and gas intelligence from DNOs and GNOs
  • Attending surgeries & stakeholder meetings
  • Weekly calls
  • Feeding information back to the company
  • Reviewing grid and gas offers
  • Cost assessment
  • Connection routes
  • Timescales
  • Red flags
  • Working with the Land Sourcing Assistant and Land Officer to identify opportunity areas to target
  • Using company financial model to assess project feasibility
  • Bi-monthly reporting

 

The Individual 

  • Electrical engineering background with electrical/engineering qualifications
  • Very organised, with an ability to autonomously manage multiple projects at once and meet individual targets
  • Worked within the energy industry for at least 2 years
  • Sound knowledge of the DNO network
  • Robust understanding DNO connection applications and offers
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office
  • Well organised both in time management and record keeping
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Driven, with desire to succeed
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to be assertive when appropriate
  • A positive approach to challenges and problem solving
