Job description

The Opportunity:

Join a fast-growing solar IPP operating internationally. This company are expanding rapidly in the Iberian market and are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead project related activities.

 

The Role:

  • Controlling the full EPC (engineering, procurement, schedule, cost >30 M €, administration, and site management) as per schedule, within budget and according to quality requirements
  • Apply best project management practices, including Risk & Opportunity Management
  • Also managing: Contractual obligations, Project reporting (internal and external), Stakeholders, QHSE, Technical and operational aspects of due diligences, Commissioning, O&M phase
  • Ensures on-time execution of subsidy-free solar PV projects in Iberia from RTB to COD
  • Leads and coordinates a project team
  • Supports team to ‘structure’ subsidy-fee projects, i.e. secure PPA, financing, EPC contract, etc.
  • Ensures compliance with internal processes and standards with other teams, especially EPC
  • Manages relationship with third-party advisors, service providers, and contractors
  • Manages relationship with external stakeholders (e.g. municipalities, regional bodies, etc.)

 

The Individual:

  • At least 5 years of experience in executing renewable energy projects Spain
  • Engineering University degree, MBA is a plus
  • Deep knowledge of site-securing, interconnection, and permitting processes of renewable projects
  • Background in technical/construction of EPC renewable energy projects
  • Relevant qualifications in Project Management are of advantage
  • Knowledge of cost controlling, contractual aspects; expertise in procurement (incl. relationship with suppliers/vendors) preferred
