Job description

Developing, designing, building, and maintaining solar PV and energy storage systems for utilities. industrial, and commercial companies. We are one of the largest Engineering, Procurement, and Construction firms in the Southeast, headquartered in Alpharetta, GA. We are a dynamic team and maintain a high level of detail in all aspects of construction and business communications.

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate all system design for a project engineering activities for civil, electrical, and structural engineering on assigned projects
  • Create or verify preliminary site layouts , equipment locations and single line diagrams
  • Procurement management including: equipment selection in accordance with electrical design parameters, vendor negotiation, preliminary logistics management
  • Work closely with customers to ensure system design and project delivery meets expectations
  • Assist with managing project financials to ensure budget attainment
  • Ensure plan sets are compliant with permitting officials, utility interconnection plans and jurisdictional requirements
  • Support project management and development staff
  • PV Syst production simulations
  • Review prime contracts, requests for proposals and development opportunities

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of solar design or engineering
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including process new information quickly
  • Experience deciphering technical instructions
  • Effective communication
  • Detail orientated
  • Ability to collaborate
  • Strong customer facing skills
  • Spreadsheet proficiency
  • Excellent written / verbal communication.
  • Entry Level CAD, Sketch Up, Google Earth or comparable programs
  • Direct PV experience, 2 year minimum
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen & criminal background check
