Summary:

Our client, an international renewable energy business are looking to recruit a Development Manager for their growing Sydney based solar team. This is an opportunity for an ambitious candidate to join an established international player in the renewable energy space. Our client requires an experienced solar professional who has a track record in development of utility scale solar projects.

 

The Role:

The Development Manager will be responsible for the following:

·        Developing utility scale solar projects and establishing a pipeline of projects

·        Interacting & negotiating with key external stakeholders including company partners and suppliers

·        Leading legal and financial analysis in the Australian renewable energy market

·        Creating status reports on updates to projects and as well as updates on the solar marketplace

·        Initiating meetings with private equity, banks and other client types

·        Identifying new business opportunities

·        Securing land agreements and other approvals

·        Leading preliminary grid negotiations for early stage developments

·        Working with in house technical and commercial teams

 

The Individual:

The Development Manager will require the following areas of expertise:

·                      Minimum of 5 years development management experience in the renewable energy sector

·        Batchelor degree or above in relevant subject (economics / finance / renewable energy / engineering). Master’s degree desirable

·        Working knowledge of PPAs, risk management and contract negotiations

·        A multitasker who is able to manage various project facets at any one time

·        Ability to travel to sites across Australia

·        Fluent in English
