Summary:

A leading Solar PV company who own an impressive utility scale Solar PV site in NSW are seeking a Site Technician to provide a variety of important tasks to maximize site performance

 

Your Responsibilities:

As Site Technician, you will be responsible for the following:

·        Responsibility for a variety of field service functions including, commissioning, testing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying Solar PV systems.

·        Supervision of contractors to ensure safe, high quality and timely performance of maintenance activities in the field

·        Act as the primary responder to customer service calls or automated service calls generated by remote alarm notification systems

·        Responsibility for various field start-up and commissioning functions on all components of the Solar PV system including execution of pre-commissioning protocols, commissioning protocols, acceptance tests, and customer training

·        Troubleshoot and repair various products and instruct others on site

·        On-call 24/7

 

Requirements from you:

·        5 years’+ work experience in Electrical Engineering role (Ideally Solar PV related)

·        Hold an Australian Electrical Licence

·        CEC accredited (beneficial)

·        Ability to supervise contractors in the field and ensure safety, quality and schedule adherence

·        Ability to take direction, identify problems, develop solutions, conduct analysis independently and in collaboration with others 

·        Ability to work comfortably in potentially remote field conditions and manage multiple tasks and projects

·        Available for 24-hour on-call duty to meet customer requirements  

·        Familiarity with both AC and DC systems, including inverters, switchgear, transformers, batteries, power meters, computer monitoring systems, associated sensors, Solar PV modules, and Solar PV arrays. 

·        Proven computer skills (Microsoft Windows)

·        Experience using a CMMS system for maintenance tracking

·        Experience using electronic control systems (preferred)

·        Highly experienced in using and understanding testing and diagnostic equipment
