Job title: Site Project Engineer

Location: Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia (On-site)

As a Site Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the on-site execution of a renewable wind farm project in the region. You will be responsible for coordinating with various stakeholders, ensuring adherence to project timelines, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the construction phase. The successful candidate will bring technical expertise, project management skills, and a commitment to sustainable energy practices.

Company Overview: 

Green Recruitment has partnered with a leading independent power producer in the search for a Site Project Engineer to assist in the delivery of a portfolio of utility renewables projects. Our client has 6GW of generation assets under management globally with an equally impressive operational and in-development pipeline locally.

Key Responsibilities:

Construction Oversight:
  • Supervise and manage on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

  • Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to optimize construction processes and resolve technical issues promptly.

Project Planning and Coordination:
  • Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets.

  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal teams, external consultants, and regulatory authorities to ensure project milestones are met.

Quality Assurance:
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to guarantee the delivery of a high-standard wind farm project.

  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any quality issues promptly.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
  • Prioritize and enforce a strong safety culture on-site, ensuring all activities adhere to safety protocols and regulations.

  • Monitor and implement environmental management practices to minimize the project's ecological footprint.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in the construction and delivery of large scale projects across Wind, Solar or Oil & Gas.

  • Knowledge of Australian engineering standards, regulations, and environmental requirements.

  • Strong project management skills, including experience with project scheduling software.

  • Lastly, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
