Job Title: Senior Solar PV Consultant

Location: England, United Kingdom (Hybrid)

TGRC is working with a leading renewable technical and commercial consultancy who are looking for a Senior Solar PV Consultant to join their team.

Within this role, you will be primarily providing a wide range of technical and commercial consultancy services for developers, lenders, investors, or operators mainly within the UK and Ireland.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing technical and commercial due diligence assessments

  • Conducting site inspections

  • Verifying plant completeness through performance calculation

  • Supervising operational monitoring services

  • Handling multiple projects by utilizing both internal and external resources

  • Reviewing contracts and offering drafting assistance for solar PV sector agreements

  • Engaging in business development activities

  • Providing guidance and mentorship to junior consultants

Experience:

  • Holds an MEng degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.

  • Possesses extensive technical and commercial expertise in the design, construction, and operation of solar PV plants.

  • Has firsthand experience evaluating the performance of numerous utility-scale and/or rooftop projects in the UK, with preference given to those with backgrounds in EPC or O&M provision.

  • Demonstrated experience in:

  • Overseeing technical due diligence transactions for utility-scale ground-mounted and rooftop solar PV plants, as well as domestic rooftop portfolios, on behalf of owners and lenders

  • Managing and conducting Performance Acceptance Tests (PAC), Initial Acceptance Checks (IAC), Final Acceptance Checks (FAC), and broader operational monitoring

  • Reviewing and providing drafting support for standard solar PV sector contracts, with specific emphasis on technical schedules such as EPC, O&M, asset management, PPA, and grid connection agreements

  • Previous involvement in senior management roles and a track record of training and mentoring junior colleagues.
