As a Senior Project Manager – Renewables, you will lead the delivery of large-scale, utility-scale solar energy projects across the Midwest. Working for one of the nation’s leading general contractors with a strong portfolio in renewable infrastructure, you'll take full ownership of project execution—from pre-construction through final commissioning. This is a high-impact leadership role that blends strategic oversight with hands-on project management, stakeholder communication, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion a safety-first culture across all project phases.

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and internal safety standards.

  • Lead implementation of the Safety Culture Improvement Plan to ensure every team member goes home safely.

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams including site managers, engineers, and subcontractors.

  • Mentor, coach, and support team members’ growth and performance.

  • Build a high-performance culture aligned with organizational values.

  • Ensure all work complies with project specifications and contracts.

  • Oversee quality management systems (QMS, BiQ) and drive continuous improvement.

  • Evaluate materials and construction methods to optimize project outcomes.

  • Manage construction schedules, procurement timelines, and production tracking.

  • Facilitate coordination meetings to maintain momentum and alignment.

  • Ensure that site plans and production visuals are up-to-date and accurately reflect progress.

  • Maintain full accountability for project budgets, forecasting, and cost tracking.

  • Monitor expenditures, mitigate overruns, and ensure profitability.

  • Deliver clear, timely reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Lead contract administration, including scope, procurement, and compliance.

  • Proactively identify, assess, and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Enforce project controls and make informed adjustments when needed.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 10+ years of construction project management experience, ideally in renewable energy.

  • Proven success managing utility-scale solar or other large renewable infrastructure projects.

  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Expertise in project delivery, budget control, scheduling, and process optimization.

  • Proficiency with Office 365 and construction/project management tools.
