​Responsible for leading specific high capital spend projects outside of Scotland, in particular in the US. This will involve all aspects of an engineering build project inclusive of scope development, liaison with various legislation agencies, understanding of gas transport regulations, assessment of local contractor and adherence to building regulations. You will take an overall lead on the design, procurement, installation and commissioning with the support of Project Engineering Teams.

Key Duties

• Drive a proactive safety and compliance culture and work closely with compliance team/external agencies to ensure the project is designed and built to BATNEC and gas regulation and standards.

• Ensure your specific projects are delivered fully to plan, cost and functionality.

• Agree project and resource plans with the two project engineering leaders and the Engineering Projects Director.

• Lead the project with dedicated resources from the project engineering and implementation teams as well as local engineers in the country of build.

• Ensuring engagement with external regulatory stakeholder that impact on the implementation of engineering projects.

• Assessment of suppliers in relation to their capability and ability to implement their contract to agreed standards in a timeous manner.

• Completion of HAZOP, Process Safety assessment with the compliance and engineering teams on your specific projects.

• Adherence to specific region legislation on biomethane generation and gas regulations.

• Achievement of Project Programme, Project Cost, Project Standards and Project Functionality.

• Adequate resources available

• Detailed project plan creation

• Regular review meetings

• Achievement of each stage on design, tendering, procurement, installation, commissioning and validation.

• Understanding the statutory requirements for Biomethane Production

• build relationships with these external agencies.

• Regular review meeting during the project program.

• Documentation availability by the required time to achieve the project plan.

• Full certification received and full sign off on validation process by both parties.

Qualifications

Degree in Project Management/Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Biochemistry or similar

Prince 2 or similar Project Management Qualification

Must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience - ideally in Oil & Gas, or pharmaceutical industry.
