Job description

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Digital Marketing, the Senior Media Specialist will be part of an internal team of marketing production and channel experts to project manage media programs and bring marketing campaigns to life through media channels. This candidate will be central in collaborating across the organization to manage PR and social media strategy, planning/coordination, content creation, and reporting. This candidate will possess a broad knowledge of media trends, developments and best practices. This candidate will have extensive experience in writing/editing of press releases, articles, and social content. This candidate will also lead a relatively new brand ambassador program that includes public speaking, social media, and customer communication components for ambassadors from various business units and functions.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a comprehensive media relation’s strategy and media plan. Experience collaborating with agencies, journalists, executives, partners, and customers is required.
  • Develop social campaigns, social content, and manage the social calendar. Extensive experience in LinkedIn for B2B Marketing required.
  • Own editorial standards and champion storytelling in marketing communications, through practice and coaching.
  • Efficiently plan/coordinate, write, and distribute press releases. Demonstrate ability to work in tools required for distribution – Business Wire, Content Management (Web: Wordpress, Drupal; Email: Constant Contact, Hubspot, or similar), LinkedIn.
  • Manage scheduling, posting, and tracking of media placements and social media content.
  • Lead weekly internal Press and Social Media planning meeting and manage processes and documentation for curation and approvals.
  • In partnership with Campaign Managers, Senior Digital Marketing Specialist, and Event and Meeting Planner, integrate PR and social media plans into campaigns (including multi-channel promotion of virtual, hybrid, or in-person events). 

 

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Business, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field plus 5+ Years of experience in a related field required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree is desirable, but not required.
