As a lead Mechanical engineer, you will be designing highly innovative products transforming how water is measured, managed, and forecasted in Agricultural, Industrial, and Municipal applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, model, prototype, and debug efficient and robust mechanical systems based on PRD’s with careful consideration to material selection and cost.
• Model and document designs to scale in a competitive landscape
• Write test plans and execute them by performing hands-on testing
• Produce comprehensive reports based on findings
• Provide technical guidance to research and field operations teams
• Perform root cause failure analysis on complex electromechanical current and legacy systems
• Mentor and guide Junior Engineers

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of mechanical engineering design experience with strong expertise in the design life cycle
• Expert Proficiency with SolidWorks package
• Proven design experience of systems with mechanical and electronic assemblies
• Experience in motion systems based on steppers, servos, valves, and encoders
• Familiar with the design phase gates and timeline planning
• Working knowledge of material tolerance and metrology systems.
• Ability to design tests for fluidics, optics, mechanical, and electronic applications
• Solid understanding of electrical, mechanical, and fluidic systems
• Ability to create full manufacturing documentation packets based on DFM best practices
• Understanding of Root Cause Analysis and product quality fundamentals
• Strong aptitude and diligent skill in detailed documentation, project, product life cycle, and test planning
• Previous exposure to Start-Up Business Environment
