Job description

Develop, propose and implement strategy for Electric Vehicle (EV) charger site selection process in support of business objectives. Manage and direct grant application development and processes for EV incentives-based programs to include all utility, state, regional and federal programs. Negotiate and ensure compliance with third-party EV incentive contracts. Work closely with internal teams to maximize ROI for all EV charger site installations, ensuring continuous improvement in the process. Work closely with EV Strategy, Policy, Construction, Operations, and Partnership Managers to maximize EV business objectives.

 

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, manage team of analysts and grant writers to develop pipeline of EV charging locations that meet business needs and goals for company
  • Working with EV Policy, EVStrategy and other internal teams (e.g., Real Estate, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Legal, Construction, Regulatory Affairs, etc), and externally with consultants, utilities and other partners, vet opportunitites to site lowest-cost EV charging installation sites
  • Deep dive in surveying new markets to find optimal locations that align with the charging strategy
  • Manage development of proposals in response to federal, state and regional funding opportunities. Identify, manage funding programs to ensure grant and EV rebates are maximized
  • Work with Legal on drafting, negotiating and executing various incentive agreements
  • Effectively communicate project progress, barriers, risks and needs to funding agencies and internal stakeholders
  • Cultivate external relationships with funding partners to be aware of EV incentive funding opportunities
  • Develop, propose, manage approved budget

 

Qualifications

  • Degree: Bachelor's Degree/ 4 Yr Degree
  • Years of Relevant Work Experience: 5+ Years
  • Years of Management Experience: 10+ Years
  • Must have strong leadership and strategic planning skills
  • Experience in evaluating and prioritizing grant program criteria preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage project scope, schedule, budget, stakeholders and risk
  • Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions, adapt to change and make effective decisions
  • Track record of forming positive working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent oral and written communication, presentation skills to all internal management internally, external audiences
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Extraordinary attention to detail
  • Familiarity with common contract terms and conditions
  • Masters degree preferred
