Job description
The Green Recruitment Company has partnered with a fast-growing, private equity-backed energy management outsourcing company that is committed to reducing global carbon emissions across the United States. They are growing rapidly and looking for a motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to aid in building out their Electrical Engineering team that will manage small to large projects developing energy management solutions for major retailers.
Employment: Direct Hire
Location: Shelton, CT (Hybrid)
Pay Rate: $120K+ (DOE)
Responsibilities:
Provide expert electrical engineering support for electrical and lighting technologies/solutions
Serve as the Ops Engineering Implementation group’s representative for vetting newly proposed electrical-intensive technologies/solutions
Coordinate with the Technology department for connectivity products and kitting solutions
Ensure the best lighting, metering and connectivity solutions are in place to ensure customer satisfaction
Understand and interpret construction documents including site plans, floor plans, details, sections, and schedules
Coordinate with Ops Implementation/Support group to ensure electrical engineering accuracy of contractor training documentation and procedures
Manage and provide support as needed for the assignment of lighting, metering, and connectivity solutions
Display general understanding of IES standards and guidelines for foot-candle levels
Work with the Procurement Team in the selection and standardization of electrical and lighting products
Provide guidance and instruction to internal and external customers
Independently manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity
Other job-related duties may be assigned
Desired Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field with minimum 5-8 years of electrical design & construction and/or electrical energy management experience.
E.I.T or Professional Engineer License preferred
Proven understanding of 0 to 24V controls systems and 120 to 480 V electrical infrastructure
Knowledge of NFPA 70 Electrical and NFPA 72 Fire Alarm Codes
Strong background and interest in electrical engineering as it pertains to building infrastructure
Broad understanding of lighting and electrical projects and operational policies, procedures, and practices
Must possess highly developed interpersonal, analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Creative problem solver with the ability to multi-task and provide excellent customer service
Proven experience managing multiple projects concurrently with complex inter-dependencies
Excellent organizational, time-management, problem solving and customer service skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software programs
Experience in the Energy management industry preferred
