SUMMARY:

A leading renewable energy company based in the Sydney CBD are seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to join their executive team. As Senior Commercial Manager, you will have responsibility for business development across the Australian business including Solar PV, onshore wind and battery storage projects. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
The key duties of your role will be to:

·        Manage and negotiate PPA offtake agreements for renewable energy projects

·        Coordinate request for proposal procedures

·        Liaise with various business partners including consultancies, retailers, developers and financial advisory companies in order to identify new opportunities in the renewable energy space

·        Present business cases to relevant parties, with the view to expand the company’s Australian operations

·        Provide regular communication across the company, including progress reports etc

·        Provide key information to relevant internal parties including individual project risks and advantages etc

·        Act as the business representative at external functions including business meetings, exhibitions and conferences etc

·        Perform other duties relating to specific business departments wherever necessary

REQUIREMENTS FROM YOU: 

You will need experience in the following areas:

·        Knowledge of corporate PPA’s in Australia

·        Extensive experience in the Australian renewable energy market

·        Experience in contract negotiation and bid management

·        Experience in internal and external stakeholder engagement at C-suite level

·        In-depth knowledge of utility scale onshore wind and Solar PV projects across Australia, from project commencement to financial close

·        Qualification in a relevant subject – ideally finance, economics, business etc. MBA qualification desirable
