Location: Flexible UK

My client is a distributed energy (DE) and Private Network. They finance, own, operate and maintain energy infrastructure for commercial, industrial and residential customers.

The business is on an exciting journey to deliver at-scale EV Fleet Charging infrastructure across the UK and Ireland as these nations transition towards the widespread electrification of transport and EV adoption, therefore, looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to drive forward their business relationships with commercial fleet owner/operators.


Key Responsibilities:

  • To drive forwards our business relationships with commercial fleet owner/operators.

  • You will develop and orchestrate senior level relationships.

  • Identifying and forming significant strategic commercial relationships that underpin deal making to secure scale at speed in the market.

  • Targeting on building a strong qualified pipeline and closing sales and strategic agreements.

  • Originate and secure utilisation agreements, partnership deals and form strategic relationships that underpin the development of national network of fleet charging hubs.

  • Engage at senior levels and the emotional intelligence to prioritise and orchestrate relationships across multiple organisations.


About you:

  • Highly experienced networker and relationship manager - connected and able to build and manage diverse relationships with a wide group of stakeholders from C-suite and through the organisation.

  • Demonstrable relevant experience at a similar level within the fleet and developing EV market.

  • Proven experience securing business with corporate fleet operators and a good working knowledge of applicable agreements and contract approaches.

  • Robust knowledge of the EV market, key technologies and their limitations.

  • Excellent understanding of relevant policy applicable to EV Fleets.

  • Experience of solution / consultative selling and building bespoke value propositions with customers across a complex range of technology and solutions.
