Job title: Senior Asset Manager - Onshore Wind

Location: Rome, Latium, Italy (On-site)

As a Senior Asset Manager specializing in onshore wind projects, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational performance, maintenance, and optimisation of our onshore wind assets in the region. Reporting to the Head of Asset Management, you will play a critical role in maximizing the efficiency, profitability, and longevity of our wind projects while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Asset Performance Management: Monitor and analyse the performance of onshore wind assets, including energy production, availability, downtime, and reliability, to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

  2. Maintenance Planning and Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies to optimise the performance and lifespan of wind turbines. Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities with internal teams and external service providers.

  3. Budgeting and Cost Control: Prepare annual budgets and forecasts for onshore wind assets, track expenses, and manage costs to ensure adherence to financial targets and optimise return on investment.

  4. Contract Management: Manage contracts with suppliers, service providers, and other stakeholders involved in the operation and maintenance of onshore wind projects. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and negotiate favourable terms when necessary.

  5. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with onshore wind operations, including technical, financial, and regulatory risks. Develop contingency plans and implement measures to minimise potential disruptions to asset performance.

  6. Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related to onshore wind operations. Ensure compliance with all applicable permits, licenses, and environmental regulations.

  7. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including investors, regulators, landowners, and local communities. Build and maintain positive relationships to facilitate smooth project operations and address any concerns or issues that may arise.

  8. Performance Reporting: Prepare regular reports and presentations on the performance of onshore wind assets, including key performance indicators, operational metrics, and financial results. Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and other relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, finance, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.

  • 5-7 years of experience in asset management, operations, or related roles in the renewable energy industry, with a focus on onshore wind projects.

  • Strong understanding of wind turbine technology, performance metrics, and maintenance practices.

  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and contract management.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Fluent in Italian and English. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites and attend meetings or conferences as required.
