The Client

The Green Recruitment Company are working with one of the leading energy suppliers based in Birmingham, UK. The client is looking for a Sales Support Team Manager to support delivery of accurate and timely quotes to fixed and flexible electricity tenders, while transforming the sales team.

Job Purpose:

  • Managing the Sales Support team
  • Ensuring there is sufficient resource, processes and training to enable the team to achieve their targets.
  • Upskill the team from an administrative sales role to low level Account Management responsibilities.

Accountability/Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the generation of new business and renewal sales targets
  • Ensure all quotes are sent accurately and to deadlines
  • Upskill the team to deliver greater responsibilities
  • Report on Team performance/KPIs
  • Manage the relationship between Sales Support and other departments of the business

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Initiative and ability to proactively plan and efficiently prioritise
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure

  • Ability to write clear, concise reports for management and committees

Knowledge (experience, qualifications, IT Literacy / packages, commercial awareness)

  • Maths and English GCSE (Grade A-C) or equivalent level (Level 2)
  • Higher education (Desirable)
  • Experience in a customer facing role
  • Sales support experience at an electricity supplier
  • Understanding of I&C Fixed and Flexible supply contract tender and negotiations process
  • Competent using Salesforce
  • Excellent IT skills (Windows packages)
  • B2B sales experience (Desirable)
  • Energy product sales (e.g solar PV, EV charging points, metering) (Desirable)
  • Understanding of electricity industry processes
  • Full UK Driving License or means to travel independently as required
