Sales Consultant
Job description
A fast-growing, mission-driven company at the forefront of the UK’s clean energy transition is seeking a Renewable Energy Sales Consultant to join its expanding team. The organisation delivers end-to-end renewable energy solutions, from consultation and system design through to installation, optimisation, and long-term support—helping homeowners and businesses achieve energy independence.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, qualify, and convert new sales opportunities through warm inbound leads and referrals
Consult with clients to understand their energy usage, goals, and financial considerations
Design and present tailored renewable energy solutions to meet customer needs
Prepare proposals, quotations, and ROI/payback assessments
Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract close
Collaborate with technical, installation, and operations teams to ensure accurate system design and delivery
Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts
Stay up to date with renewable technologies, incentives, regulations, and market trends
Represent the company professionally at client meetings, site visits, and industry events
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience in consultative sales (B2C preferred, B2B considered)
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and confidently
Target-driven mindset with a focus on ethical, value-based selling
Skilled in handling objections and negotiating contracts
Comfortable using CRM systems and digital sales tools
Desirable Experience
Background in renewable energy, energy services, or sustainability
Experience selling solar, battery storage, heat pumps, EV charging, or similar technologies
Understanding of energy tariffs, incentives, and ideally Home Energy Management Systems (HEMS)
Technical knowledge (advantageous but not essential)
