​Job Overview

Operations Manager is required to oversee/manage all aspects of residential solar installation, from design, permitting, ISA, equipment procurement, sub-contractor management, warranty and maintenance. The ideal candidate will be a proven Operations Leader with experience in managing solar construction projects, including business development, estimating, developing budgets and schedule to project closeout.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction possible

• Build strong relationships with vendor partners

• Supervise staff of designers, project managers and support personnel

• Supervise total construction effort to ensure project is delivered in accordance with design, budget and schedule. Includes interfacing with contractors, client, sales and finance etc.

• Develop departmental standards in line with company best practices and operational excellence

• Responsible for team development including hiring, reviews, training and development

• Provide technical assistance, i.e. interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required. Identify, initiate and maintain extra work estimating and issuance of change orders.

Job Qualifications:

• Excellent communicator with outstanding negotiation and leadership skills

• BS in Engineering or background as a Licensed Electrician is preferred

• Combination of technical, project management experience supervising safety, financial outcome, customer relationship, contract, vendor relations, subcontractors, etc. 5+ years of solar experience strongly preferred

• Required education: Bachelor's

• Construction: 3 years

• Management: 3 years

• Operations Management Experience

• NABCEP Certification and MA CSL preferred
