Job summary:

The Consultant's role is to provide timely and high-quality consultancy advice on sustainability topics for the corporate sector. Responsibilities include developing and managing proposals on renewable energy solutions, overseeing project implementation, providing technical guidance to project teams, and acting as the main client contact. The Consultant will also contribute to developing new products and solutions to address sustainability challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze European power and renewable wholesale power markets, as well as broader renewable energy solutions.

  • Conduct research on renewable energy drivers, trends, competitive landscape, and opportunities.

  • Deliver insights through reports, presentations, and client interactions.

  • Manage medium- to large-scale sustainability consulting projects from initiation to closure.

  • Plan and implement projects efficiently and with high quality.

  • Build and manage relationships with international, regional, and local clients.

  • Collaborate with Key Account Management and senior consulting professionals to develop proposals on renewable energy solutions.

  • Enhance expertise in offered topics and services.

  • Support thought leadership, service/product development, marketing materials, and offerings.

  • Lead and manage small consultant teams in a multi-stakeholder and multi-geography context.

  • Engage in topics such as corporate renewable energy sourcing strategies, renewable energy targets, energy attribute certificates, green tariffs, corporate PPAs, on-site renewables, RE100/SBT compliance, CDP/RE100 reporting, and supply chain engagement.

  • Requirements:

Essential:

  • Few years of relevant experience in power markets, renewable energy, industry, government, research, or consulting.

  • University degree in energy markets, engineering, economics, statistics, or related fields.

  • Strong understanding of power markets.

  • Strong commercial skills and business acumen.

  • Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English.

Desirable:

  • Graduate degree with quantitative experience.

  • Deep understanding of European and specifically Germany/DACH electricity markets.

  • Knowledge of challenges faced by multinational companies transitioning to renewable energy.

  • Understanding of gas markets.

  • Demonstrable commercial skills and business acumen in a competitive market.

  • Diligent, reliable, and proactive.

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced international environment.

  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills.

  • Experience in areas such as PPAs, energy attribute certificates, biomethane markets, renewable investments, energy efficiency, green hydrogen, electrification of processes, onsite renewable appraisals, and biofuels market
